Once you’ve acquired a mount, follow these steps to summon it:
Equip the Mount from the Collections Menu
Go to the Collections menu → Mounts section.
Equip your preferred mount from the list if you have more ESO Gold than one.
Summon the Mount
PC: Press the H key.
Xbox: Hold the View button (same button that opens the map).
PlayStation: Hold the Touchpad button.
Dismount
Use the same button you pressed to summon the mount.
Alternatively, you can crouch, block, or use an ability to dismount instantly.
Sprinting and Jumping While Mounted
You can sprint and jump with a mount using the same controls as when on foot.
How to Improve Your Mount
While mounts are inherently faster than running, you can further enhance their stats by visiting a Stablemaster daily. Each mount can be upgraded in one of three areas:
Speed:
Increases the maximum running speed of your mount.
Essential for quick travel, especially for questing and PvP.
Stamina:
Reduces the chance of being knocked off the mount by enemy attacks.
Useful when traveling through dangerous areas filled with enemies.
Capacity:
Increases the number of inventory slots available.
Great for players who gather lots of cheap ESO Gold or materials on the go.
Tip: It’s recommended to prioritize Speed and Capacity upgrades first, especially for new players.
