Say you’re offered two jobs i.e. Job X and Job Y.

The only difference between the two jobs is the disparity between your salary and your future co-workers.

In Job X, your annual pay is $100,000 and your colleagues will be earning $80,000.

In Job Y, you’ll be earning $110,000 and your colleagues will be earning $130,000.

Now, the question is…

Would you be tempted to take up Job X or Y?

Strangely, majority of my students choose Job X!
